University of Memphis Marital status: Married to Tom Patterson Children: Michael, 24, (married 6/06) and Mary (21) Job Information: Kindergarten teacher at Christ Methodist Day School updated 7/28/06 D E F G H name: Bob Hailey robertbhailey@home.com Class: 1969 Address: 2940 Chapelwood Dr City, State: Hermitage, TN 37076 Phone: 615.889.3152 Other: Soon after graduation, in August of 69, I went in the NAVY under their Nuclear Power Training Program. I spent a bit over four years in such varied places as Orlando, Great Lakes, IL, Bainbridge, MD, Newport, RI, and finally landed on a carrier homeported in Mayport, FL. I spent the next two and a half years floating around the Mediterranean Sea. Upon release from Uncle Sam's indenture, I, perhaps unwisely, dove into the world of audio, where I have lived, professionally, ever since. In 1975, I married a Floridian, Charlotte Cole, had two most excellent sons, Ben (now 17) who is our resident bohemian writer, artist and juggler and, Ray (14) our mathemetician, videographer, webmaster and punk skater. I divorced in 1996 after 22 years. I am now remarried to Suzanne(Martz), a wonderful partner (even if she is a damnyankee) who has joined the three 'Handsome Hailey Men' to help create a new and exciting family. Suzanne is a Television Writer and Producer for CMT and is studying culinary science. Career-wise, I have worked for a sound contractor, Radio Shack, a company who built automated welding equipment, Metro Traffic and Parking, five music stores (all at the same time), myself - as a freelance audio and keyboard tech, and spent a year as road manager, sound engineer, bus driver and den mother for a progressive country band that I guarantee nobody ever heard of. I finally landed at TNN, The Nashville Network as an Audio Engineer. Ten years later, TNN was sold and I remained with Gaylord Entertainment as the sole engineer for the Grand Ole OPRY House, the RYMAN Auditorium, The BellSouth Acuff Theater, The Grand Ole OPRY Museum, and the Wildhorse Saloon, among others. I spend my spare time (yeah, right) making music (I blow a mean and soulful blues harp), motorcyling, reading, and dabbling in photography. I'm also a passable carpenter and a motorhead (VOLVO's only, please!). Suzanne and I indulge in gourmet cooking, gardening and home improvement projects. Our shared goal is to own and operate a small Inn or Resort in a semi-tropical place. As a family unit, we enjoy camping and road trips, movie nights, cut-throat UNO and homemade pizza. By the way, I still have too much hair. Unfortunately, it's mostly grey now. So that's my life in five hundred words or less. Thanx for stoppin' by... ...bob... I J K L M N O P Q R S T Peggy Tyree Flowers ptflowers@nc.rr.com Cary, North Carolina Marital status: Married Children: Three Adult Children Job: Homemaker Other: I met my husband at the University of Tennessee at Martin. After we left Martin, we moved to Portland, Tennessee where he taught agriculture and each of our children were born--they are now 29, 27 and 24 yrs old, which seems highly impossible when it seems like yesterday that my three brothers and I were attending JOHS. We lived in Portland until '83 when we moved to Champaign-Urbana, Illinois while Jim finished up his doctorate in ag. education, which led us to our current residence in North Carolina in '86. Our last child, Carrie Beth, is graduating from NC State University with a major in reading education this May and marrying a week later. Our first grandchild is also due this Easter (2004), whose dad, our oldest child, Keith, graduated from NCSU in engineering. Our 2nd child, Karen, graduated from Appalachian State University, married and is now employed as a graphic artist. We are very involved with our church family at the Cary Church of Christ. I love to hear from anyone from high school--they are still some of the best people I have met! U V W X Y Z ![]() |
